Award-winning writer Celia Morris began donating her papers to the Southwestern Writers Collection/The Wittliff Collections in 2004. Her books include Fanny Wright: Rebel in America (1984), Storming the Statehouse: Running for Governor with Ann Richards and Dianne Feinstein (1992), Bearing Witness, Sexual Harassment and Beyond, Everywoman's Story (1994), and Finding Celia's Place (2000)
 
Listed below is an archival inventory of the Celia Morris holdings. Note that access to unprocessed materials is granted on a case-by-case basis. Please contact the Archivist for details about access to the Celia Morris Collection.

Materials from Celia Morris’ writing career.  Items included are: correspondence, typed manuscripts, photos, research material for various projects, audio and video cassettes, newspaper clippings, notes, interviews, reviews, conference and seminar materials, articles by and about Celia Morris, and materials pertaining to Bob Eckhardt and Willie Morris.
 
Materials from envelopes and folders have not been removed and labels were made by artist.  Contents of envelopes and folders were briefly described.

- typed manuscript titled “Sharon Pratt Kelly: A Politician Learning the Hard Way” by Celia Morris and Sharon Pratt Dixon.  This piece was written for the LA Times Magazine
