In August 1973, Jerry Jeff Walker and the Lost Gonzo Band convened in Luckenbach for a week and recorded the quintessential Texas album.

Fresh discoveries from the “¡Viva Terlingua!” recording sessions, including lost moments from the legendary concert in Luckenbach on August 18, 1973, shed light on the making of the iconic album.

The Wittliff's new exhibition – “¡Viva Terlingua! The Big Bang of Texas Music!” – for the first time, puts you inside the room with Jerry Jeff and the Gonzos to hear songs left off the original album, rehearsals, outtakes and the high times and camaraderie surrounding the sessions.
